YAY!

Can you believe we are FINALLY about to embark on our practicum/student teaching adventure!?! It feels like we started this program forever ago; yet, it also feels like it is all happening so fast!

It all is very bittersweet and stress inducing for me...I cannot wait for the experience and the teaching certificate but I am also extremely sad about leaving my current students, staff and school...Over the past two years, Mill Park has become my second home and I have developed phenomenal relationships with students and teachers--ones I will never forget! My last day is Monday and I plan on wearing NO makeup because I know I will certainly cry... I honestly begin to miss the kids after one week of vacation! WAA! WAA! :(

There is really no true purpose for this entry...Just really wanted to share how insane this whole thing is for me (as I am sure it is for you guys too!)

Lastly, thank you Kyle Hall for coming up with this idea. Not only do we get to keep in touch and share experiences but we also get to use our Ed.Tech. edumacation! (and how many times will this ever happen again? ha!)

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! I shall see you all tomorrow for the pre-student teacher meeting!

BTW, where/what is everyone doing their student teachings?
Practicum: Cleveland High School---Senior English and Theory of Knowledge
Student Teaching:  Mt. Scott Elementary School---6th Grade (all subjects) + Outdoor School!

  1. Hey Aika!

I still can't believe that 2 years has already passed and we start next week. It always seemed so far away but now it is here. Here is where I am teaching:

Practicum: West Albany High School (Social Studies)
Student Teaching: Memorial Middle School (Math)

So excited to be down in Albany my teacher at West is my favorite teacher of all time (I had him when I was a freshman in high school), and my teacher at Memorial is a year older than me we grew up together lol. Can't wait!

  2. Hi!!!

I'm doing my practicum at Parkrose Middle School (language arts)--and getting AVID endorsed!!
I'm doing my student teaching at Union High School (language arts).

This is all happening so fast, and I have to admit, the anxiety level of leaving my job and having to support Parker and I on student loans is starting to wear on me... BUT... it'll all be worth it in the end :)
